Fanfarlo has just released a new video for their song “The Walls Are Coming Down.” I would be lying if I said that I had any idea what this video was all about. What I do know is that I love Fanfarlo, and if they decide they want to dangle a guy wearing a straight jacket from the ceiling, well, that is just fine by me. Who knows, maybe they are just contradicting the song’s claim that “there is nothing left to do.”
The walls the walls are coming down, the here and now is coming round
It will some day let you down
The ships the ships are coming in, the great ideas are wearing thin
There is nothing left to do
Fanfarlo – “The Walls Are Coming Down”
And I wouldn’t feel right without putting up this video as well. This is probably my favorite song by Fanfarlo, and it leaves me filled with the indescribable joy of learning that even nerds can still rock and roll.
Fanfarlo – “Harold T. Wilkins Or How To Wait For A Very Long Time”
Your dreams will become part of the future and coincide with the past
You spend all your time by the radio waiting for the signal
But inside, you’ll always feel the same, even when you wake up
Even if you wake up
